CCC Darling Downs began as an outreach to Filipino workers and families living and working at Millmerran (an outback town 1.5 hours or 212 kms west, southwest away of Brisbane). Initially hailing from the Ifugao and Ilocano ethnic regions of Northern Philippines, our Millmerran brethren have found a new home in Millmerran and Pittsworth (a nearby town), working at the very large industrial farms there and in other businesses in the towns. God has opened a wonderful door to our Filipino kababayans, now including those from other parts of the Philippines, making the fellowship at CCC Darling Downs a more fuller representation of the rich, diverse cultures of the Philippine homeland.

What began with a handful of friends and brethren has now grown to a sizeable church community of nearly 50 active members. The CCC Brisbane teams led by Ps. Michael Arandela and Ps. Brenda Macale alternate in driving every fortnight from Brisbane to Pittsworth and back, with the CCC Brisbane team leading the worship service, children and youth bible studies and providing pastoral care to the brethren. The CCC Darling Downs worship team have stepped up to serve with their musical talents and instruments, playing lovely worship music during the services.

CCC Darling Downs’ reach and influence is slowly but surely expanding, with regular congregants coming from nearby Toowoomba city in the east and from Dalby in the northwest west of Pittsworth. We are also recently seeing people from other nationalities visiting with and worshipping together with us, notably from Indonesia.

Our vision is CCC Darling Downs will, by God’s grace and very soon, become an autonomous and flourishing daughter church with their own local pastoral team and elders whom the Lord have appointed and anointed to carry own the beautiful, holy mission of preaching Christ, Him crucified and Him resurrected from the dead to more and more of our Filipino kababayans in the Darling Downs area.
